Walgreens and Express Scripts' contract is OVER

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Express Scripts, Walgreens' pharmacy provider, wasn't able to renew the contract they have with Walgreens leaving thousands of customers to find a new pharmacy to support their need for prescription medicines.

Unfortunately, because of the split of Walgreens and Express Scripts, many families are affected especially military families. Walgreens tried to negotiate the Tricare renewal separately but it's also unsuccesful. Tricare is a part of Express Scripts and because of the split, health benefits for military retirees, military personnels and their families will no longer be supported.

To help ease the tension and to lessen the problem, customers are encouraged to join the Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens. They offer bonuses when you purchase Walgreens and Nice! brand products, and photofinishing services as well as savings on almost 8,000 branded and generic medicines, and discounts on nebulizers, flu-shots and diabetic supplies and pet prescriptions.

If you are one of those affected by the split of Walgreens and Express Scripts or just one of those who wanted to support our affected military families, I encourage you all to reach out to your local media or share your thoughts on social networks and let them know how you feel.

Follow Walgreens on Twitter and like Walgreens on Facebook to stay up to date about the situation. Thank you for supporting Walgreens.
