Rainy Halloween!

It's that day of the year again where we get to visit our granparents' grave. We can't visit often because it's a 2hr drive from our home to the cemetery. I wish we could though. The weather yesterday decided not to cooperate. It was soooooo hot in the morning then it rained late in the afternoon. When we went to the cemetery by 5pm, the rain was literally pouring so the kid and I decided to just stay in the car and wait for my parents and sister while they offer candles, prayers and flowers at the grave. Hopefully next year the weather will be nice so me and the kid could go inside the cemetery and offer prayers personally.

Computer Geek mode ON!

I'm not really a computer geek but today I did a lot of deleting, copy/pasting, transferring and other stuffs on my laptop. It took me about 8hrs just transferring 1545 photos of my kid from one online storage to another. LMAO! I want to sort it out from the day he was born up to present but it's waaaaay too many! It'll take me weeks or even months to get it done because sometimes I get too lazy or sidetracked. LOL! I also transferred my mom's files from my laptop to hers. It's not that many but it took a while because she was playing Farmville. LMAO! Anyway, I'm off the compy for now. Need to get some mommy duties done and maybe I'll watch a movie after he falls asleep. <3

Getting ready for Halloween

In my 24 yrs of existence, I haven’t experienced attending Halloween parties nor do some trick or treating. Lame! XD Lmao! I don’t even know what candy corns taste like. :P I would really love to wear a bumblebee costume! But seems like I’m too old for those kind of things. XD Are you planning to host or attend a Halloween party this year? What costume are you wearing? Have you tried trick or treating? How was it?

Innocent and Helpless

There’s a video spreading like a disease on Facebook involving a 2yr old Chinese girl who got ran over by two vehicles in a not-so busy road somewhere in China. The incident got caught on tape via a CCTV cam. If you haven’t seen it yet, I suggest you to not to. The video showed how the little girl got hit by a mini-van and the driver didn’t even cared to go down his vehicle and check if she was ok. He left the baby lying in the street. I wasn’t expecting to see the next scenario. Passersby did NOTHING. They looked at the kid but did absolutely NOTHING. They didn’t even care to see if the baby was still alive. Then she got hit again. I couldn’t imagine the pain the little girl has to go through just because no one even dared to help her. She was so tiny! I was in tears while watching. Thinking that I could’ve done something about it. I couldn’t finish the whole vid. Those people disgusts me. Even animals shouldn’t be treated like that. I have a kid so I know how the mom felt when she found out what happened. It’s really heartbreaking and it’s something all of us moms don’t want to happen to our kids. The baby was helpless. She could’ve been saved if only those people acted on impulse and dragged her earlier in the curb to avoid getting hit again. The little girl was taken to the hospital but the doctors said that it’s too late because she’s already brain dead and couldn’t be saved by any operation. Wherever she is right now, she’s now saved from the heartless and cruel society that we’re all still facing right now. R.I.P. Yue Yue.

Crazy (and sick-y) Sunday Sale at Megamall!

We left the house early yesterday to avoid the traffic in Ortigas because of the MEGA 3-day sale. We arrived at Megamall at 10am and it's already full of people! No parking areas available! Even the paid parking at Podium is full! We ended up at basement 5 of Podium because that's the only parking lot available that we could find!
We went inside the mall and OMG it's literally jampacked and it's only 11am! Lmaoooo! Now who said Filipinos are poor? :)) Jk. XD Anyway, we had lunch at Kenny Roger's and believe me that's the last time we're eating there. The service is poor, the food is raw, I'm literally sweating because it's too hot! Pfft! XP We had our snack at French Baker and that's where I started to feel sick-y. My head is pounding and my nose is clogged. Took 3 meds after eating my Beef Lasagna. Lol! I thought I'm going to be fine but I woke up with a fever this morning. :( Anyway, can't think of anything else to say as my head is about to explode.

Dinner at Cafe Lidia's

We went to Cafe Lidia's for dinner last night. We really love eating there because the food is super yummy and the servers are really nice! Eventhough there are lots of other kids there, they prefer playing with my little boy. Lol! The ambiance is really great too. It's like a vintage minimalist set-up. It's very very comfy. Looking forward to another dinner with the fam again :)

Lucky lucky!

I signed up to this site where I could get paid by reviewing some products that fits the categories on my blog. That's the first time I signed up on something for my blog to profit money. Lol! Last Monday, I woke up and found two opps waiting to get accepted and reviewed! One advertiser offered me 1,500 points and the other is 1.575pts. 500 points is equivalent to $5! I got sooo excited!! I finished both in just an hour and a half! Lmao! I wish the advertisers will approve my review. Wish me luck. :D

Text Order Maid

Lol! You read that right. We ordered a housemaid just by texting! It’s like ordering from McDonald’s! Lmao! We texted Ate Amy yesterday asking if we could “order” a housemaid from her. She was referred to us by our cousin so we feel somehow safe asking for a maid from someone we don’t know. Anyway, we texted her yesterday and she replied asking what age we prefer and what type of work the maid will do. They had an agreement and she told mama that they will arrive tomorrow. Just like fastfood, eh? Lmaoo! I was actually expecting to see them arrive on a McDonald’s delivery bike or something but they didn’t. Aww. Looool! Just kidding. Anyway, the maid’s name is Marie, 55 yrs old and single. She has a 1yr “warranty” meaning we can have her exchanged for someone else if we want to. Oh well, I hope everything will turn out alright. Anyone else has an experience with this kind of service?

Top 10 Reasons Why There Couldn’t Be a Filipino-American US President

Top 10 Reasons Why There Couldn’t Be a Filipino-American US President

9. There are not enough parking spaces at the White House for 2 Honda Civics,

7. There are too many dining rooms in the White House – where will they put

6. The White House walls are not big enough to hold a pair of giant wooden
spoon and fork.

5. Secret Service staff won’t respond to “psst… psst” or “hoy.hoyhoy!”

Busy Sunday!

I never thought that I'd be soo busy today! Woke up at 6am because the kid got a leaky nappy and I wasn't able to go back to bed as my kid decided to get all playful and all that. Lol! My parents and sister took my kid with them to buy some grocery stuffs so I got the chance to sneak in and took a quick bath. When they arrived, I took care of my kid and played with him a little while waiting for our lunch. For some reason, I was feeling soo hyper! I went up and down the stairs (because mom was asking me to do something not because of the hyperness XD) for like 4 times without feeling tired, cleaned his baby bottles, washed his clothes and folded some of the dry ones. My day is not even done yet but I have accomplished lots of mommy stuffs today! Yey me! :)
I realized that being a mom, you have to prioritize you kid no matter what. His needs should always come first. As for me being a single mom, I can really say that it's not an easy job. No day-offs, Friday night-outs, even taking a nap is impossible! But in the end, everything is so worth-it. I get the hugs and the kisses all to myself. :) Anyway, to sum it all up, the supposed to be "rest day Sunday" became a very BUSY SUNDAY for me!

Go figure. :)

The following is an actual question given on a University of Arizona chemistry mid term, and an actual answer turned in by a student. The answer by one student was so ‘profound’ that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, why we now have the pleasure of enjoying it as well :

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle’s Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving, which is unlikely. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. There fore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let’s look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle’s Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1.If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2.If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, ‘It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,’ and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over. The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct….. …leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting ‘Oh my God.’

THIS STUDENT RECEIVED AN A+.

Hope, Strength and Faith

My prayer goes out to everyone who got affected by the flood in Bulacan and in other parts of the country because of the typhoon Pedring. I know how it feels like because we were once a victim of the flood that occured during the typhoon Ondoy. I hope and pray that everyone will be safe and be out of danger.

Father, hear our prayer for the victims of this flooding. Preserve every person from harm, strengthen and console them in this trial, and help them to rebuild through Christ our Lord. Amen. Mother Mary, pray for them.

AMEN

Romantic films are known to ruin relationships as they give unrealistic expectations to women about what to expect from men. Porn has the same effect on men.

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM!

Sounds familiar? It's an episode from Masters of Horror. I don't really watch that that series. I just thought I'd use it since I'm eating ice cream and most of us LOVE ice creams! LOL! XD I can't imagine being one of those people who are allergic to dairy products ( main ingerdient of ice cream ). I mean, they're missing quite a lot! Well actually, people who are allergic to any kind of food are missing a lot. I have this cousin who's allergic to peanuts and even the smell of it makes her face swell. >.> Anyway, going back, there are lots of varieties of ice creams, from sorbets, gelatos, frozen yogurts and the likes. It actually varies from one country to another. For people who are lactose intolerant or as I said awhile ago, allergic to dairy products, they have milk substitutes. I haven't tasted that kind of ice cream yet so I'm wondering if there's any difference. I saw this list of frozen desserts and ice cream-like snack:

 • Ais kacang: a dessert in Malaysia and Singapore made from shaved ice, syrup, and boiled red bean and topped with evaporated milk. Sometimes, other small ingredients like raspberries and durians are added in too.
 • Dondurma: Turkish ice cream, made of salep and mastic resin
 • Frozen custard: at least 10% milk fat and at least 1.4% egg yolk and much less air beaten into it, similar to Gelato, fairly rare. Known in Italy as Semifreddo.
 • Frozen yogurt: a low fat or fat free alternative made with yogurt
 • Gelato: an Italian frozen dessert having a lower milk fat content than ice cream.
 • Halo-halo: a popular Filipino dessert that is a mixture of shaved ice and milk to which are added various boiled sweet beans and fruits, and served cold in a tall glass or bowl.
 • Ice milk: less than 10% milk fat and lower sweetening content, once marketed as "ice milk" but now sold as low-fat ice cream in the United States.
 • Popsicle (or ice pop or lolly): frozen fruit puree, fruit juice, or flavoured sugar water on a stick or in a flexible plastic sleeve.
 • Kulfi: Believed to have been introduced to South Asia by the Mughal conquest in the 16th century; its origins trace back to the cold snacks and desserts of Arab and Mediterranean cultures.[28]
 • Mellorine: non-dairy, with vegetable fat substituted for milk fat
 • Parevine: Kosher non-dairy frozen dessert established in 1969 in New York[29]
 • Sherbet: 1–2% milk fat and sweeter than ice cream.
 • Sorbet: fruit puree with no dairy products
 • Snow cones, made from balls of crushed ice topped with sweet syrup served in a paper cone, are consumed in many parts of the world. The most common places to find snow cones in the United States are at amusement parks.
 • Maple toffee: A popular springtime treat in maple-growing areas is maple toffee, where maple syrup boiled to a concentrated state is poured over fresh snow congealing in a toffee-like mass, and then eaten from a wooden stick used to pick it up from the snow.
Sounds delish, right? I want to try EVERYTHING on that list! I'm such a sucker for desserts! Lmao! Oh crap, my ice cream is starting to melt. Have to finish this up before it becomes a choco shake. LOOL! G'bye! :D

Cake time!

It's lunch time and I decided to eat sopas only for lunch. As usual, Stefan dragged his walker beside me and started pulling my shirt! Yes, that means you have to share it with him. Lmao! After eating sopas, I took out the box of mango cake in the fridge and got a slice of cake. Again, he dragged his walker and tried to do the "pa-cute" face! That means he wants it too.
XD So there, all of you are now aware that whatever I eat, I share with my kid. Even if I don't want to. Lmao! XD
YUM!

The little boy's tiring 8th month celeb!

Me and my kid went out yesterday to meet up with his dad. This is the 2nd time I took him out without my parents. Lol. Well anyway, his dad picked us up at home and as soon as we sat on the passenger seat, my kid stared at him. Maybe he was wondering who the guy behind the wheel was. XD So yeah, they played and slept yesterday. XD They're both snoring! Lmao! After like 3hrs we decided to head home because the rain started to pour.

When we got home, Stefan fell asleep again. He's so tired! I don't know why. XD Then after a few minutes dad called telling us to prep up as we're going out to shop and eat out. We went to SM Marikina and went straight to the supermarket. Me and mom have 2 diff carts so I could get the baby stuffs we need without forgetting anything. Stefan is with my mom riding the cart. Lol! After grocery shopping, we went to eat and headed home afterwards. Oh we stopped by Red Ribbon to buy a cake for his 8th monthsary! We never miss any of his celebration without a cake. :)

It was def a very tiring for the both of us but we had fun with his dad and my fam. So that sums up our 'activities' yesterday. :D Happy 8th month again, darling!

Happy 8th month, kid!

Coughing up all night!

I was up all night coughing my guts out. It's really hard to sleep when your throat keeps itching like a mofo! Seems like my meds ain't working at all. I can't be sick like this! I still have buttloads of crap that needs to be done! Still thankful though because my kid is almost ok now. So I'm the only one who's left sick-ish. Lol! Oh well, I'll get better soon. Idk when. But SOON, hopefully. Need to change meds! ASAP!

*cough* *cough* *sneeze* *sneeze*

Me and my kid has been sick lately. Cough and common cold. To the stranger who shared his germs to my kid, thank you for spreading and for not being selfish, but holy crap we don't need it! -.- Stefan has been sick for like what, a week already? The doc said there's a possibility that he'll have asthma. Fuck it! >.> Then I got this cough and cold from him because as some of you know, these filthy viruses are airborne and def contagious. We've been taking meds already. Salbutamol sulfate (antiasthma) and ambroxol hydrochloride med for my kid, carbocisteine and phenylphrine hydrochloride paracetamol for me. Hopefully, this sickness will be gone soon as we both are having trouble sleeping already. -.-
